John Wright Trophy

John was a long-standing member of the Club and for many years our treasurer. He had a strong interest in Flora and Fauna, particularly birds. (The flora and fauna of a place are its plants and animals)  An annual trophy is competed for in his memory on those subjects. The competition is open to all members and is an opportunity to photograph our spectacular countryside and the animals within.

Guidelines:

1.     A competition of digital images on the subject “Flora and Fauna” the images to be taken anywhere in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, taken any time in the year in which they are entered in the competition. Two images can be submitted per member.

2.    Images to be re-sized to a maximum of 1600 x 1200 x 72dpi and submitted either by e-mail to an address provided nearer the competition date or submitted via a memory stick both no later than 30th October.  Each entry to be accompanied by the author’s name, image title, location, with the dates taken in the e mail but no authors name on the image.

3.    Entries will be judged as decided upon by John's family and the John Wright Trophy awarded to the winner at the annual presentation evening. The trophy is to be returned by 30th October each succeeding year.
