Judge's Comments
1st Place – Daisy by Nicola Riley – This goes beyond the normal cutie pet portrait. I love the studied look of concentration that the photographer has captured here, and I think the subtle vignette really adds to that look
2nd Place – St Katherine's Dock by Lynn Davidson – Although this is a busy picture I enjoy the beautiful reflections which almost create an abstract image
3rd Place – Ocelot by Eleanor Atack – Beautiful lighting on this image really highlights the markings of these lovely big cats, and although they blend into their surroundings still stand out well.
Highly Commended – Albert Dock by Lynn Davidson – The strong lines of the dock are softened by the reflections and the building in the distance adds balance to the image.

Judges Comments
1st Place – Artist Cabin by Abu Ramjane – I love the feeling of isolation here, and the white of the cabin really stands out against the cliffs. Just the right amount of sky with enough detail without being overpwering
2nd Place – Light on the Edge by Peter Rymill – A real feeling of isolation with the lighthouse playing a small nut significant part of the landscape. Again just the right amount of sky with good detail. I have a sense of déjà vu, I'm sure I have been there but can't remember where it is.
3rd Place – A Misty Morning by Jackie Kelly – A real sense of isolation here, really giving the sense of a cold Winter morning. I like the way the photographer has captured the tree in the middle of the main gap in the fence.
Highly Commended – Solitary Path by Chris Varney – Presenting this in mono adds to the feeling of isolation. Good detail in the wooden boardwalk, and the placement on the left of the image leads the viewer to the distant structure which is well placed on the top third of the image.
Highly Commended – On the Edge by Abu Ramjane – Well placed on the right hand side of the image, this shed really gives the feeling of isolation. Colour of shed really stands out against the distant rocks.
